I am happy for emerging manager stockpickers to reach out to me to either get feedback, or to ask whether their fund might be a fit for MITIMCo's portfolio (we love partnering with a small number of excellent emerging managers each year). Each week, I dedicate time to responding to these. However, I generally get far more requests than I am able to respond to (this is a small part of my overall job at MITIMCo).
For those looking for guidance on whether their firm might be a fit for MITIMCo, I respond to as many as I can. Please understand that we have a small team at MITIMCo, but receive a large number of inquiries, and so are very limited in the number that we can choose to pursue. If you reach out, you have to accept that the likelihood of moving forward is very low.
For those in the earlier stages looking for guidance and advice, the same caveat about my bandwidth constraints applies. However, I really like to try to help, and I will pick out a handful who I think I can be particularly helpful with.
Please note that we generally do not invest in quant, macro, or momentum/trading/high turnover oriented funds, and I have no ability to be helpful to these types of managers. We also have a general preference for one fund, one strategy firms vs. firms with multiple strategies.
