About Us
A lot about MITIMCo and a little about me
Since 2010, I have worked on the Global Investment Staff at the MIT Investment Management Company (MITIMCo) - the endowment office of MIT. Our mission at MITIMCo is simple: we want to partner with the very, very best investment firms globally to produce the investment returns needed to support MIT's mission of groundbreaking research and world class education that simply makes the world a better place.

While at MITIMCo, I have spent a large portion of my time working with emerging managers, particularly emerging manager stockpickers. My passion is to find and identify exceptional investors very early in their careers, have MITIMCo become their cornerstone investor, and watch them compound capital for MIT at high rates for decades.
Over the years, we have tried to find more and more ways to be helpful to emerging managers, both current and aspiring. It struck us that there is not a lot of high quality content written for emerging managers who want to break the traditional mold and do something different and special. This website is designed to solve that problem. We want to use this website to collect high quality, highly useful ideas, concepts, resources, and insights - wherever they come from. Some are observations from our own experience working with emerging managers, others are insights shared directly from emerging managers, and other bits might be written for a different audience entirely but seem to apply to someone trying to build a great investment firm.
As far as me personally, I have lived in the Boston area since 2010. I am passionate about my work at MITIMCo, which I find intellectually fulfilling and deeply meaningful given the opportunity to play a role in magnifying MIT's impact on the world. Outside of work, I spend time with my family, pursue other curiosities, and spend a lot of time running and walking the trails in the Middlesex Fells which I live next to.
